Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), believes that with 2008’s Iron Man, they have only scratched the surface of the vast Marvel comic book universe, although they have produced more than 40 projects since the franchise’s inception.

Marvel Cinematic Universe boss Kevin Feige said that even after 32 films, they still have very little of the comics covered

In an interview with Variety, Feige expressed his admiration for the vast list of intriguing characters Marvel comics have developed over the course of 85 years: “Even after 32 films, it feels like we’re still over the tip of the iceberg.”

Although the MCU has already signed 45 projects, there is a lot of source material that has not yet been ported from the comics to the big screen. For example, X-Men, an important side story of Marvel, will take part in the MCU for the first time in the near future.

In addition, the MCU has yet to adapt Fantastic Four, one of Marvel’s first cinematic adaptations. The Fantastic Four’s entry into the MCU is scheduled for 2025. Director Matt Shakman hints that this film will depart from established Marvel norms, promising that it has a unique approach to storytelling and a style that is different from previous Marvel films.

The name Marvel has in mind for the director of Avengers: Secret Wars has been revealed!

Marvel is in big trouble with actors' and writers' strikes. The movies won't catch up! But there is good news for Avengers: Secret Wars!

Shakman said: “It’s different in so many ways… I wish I could say more. But in terms of story, in terms of approach to filmmaking, we’re doing a lot of different things, and that really fits the material. I wish I could say more. I’d love to, but I can’t say it. But I think it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, and it’s definitely not going to be like anything you’ve ever seen before in Marvel.”

Marvel’s upcoming projects include “The Marvels,” the sequel to Captain Marvel, and the sequel to Loki, whose second season will be released on Disney Plus. What do you think? Please don’t forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
